after a long wait, the two of us from flat 408 downed a few tequila shots and went on our way for some indie electro stoning time.

The funniest thing about it was we had no idea how the band looked like. All we knew were their songs and that they were a 2 man band. But obviously they had other musicians to play their other instruments, so when everyone came on stage, we were still like "woooooo woooo.....er....which one are they.. wooo woooo..."
It wasn't until they started singing that we got an idea which one they were.

and omg, it was love at first sight. one of them is soooooo damn cute.

The experience in general admission is crazy, scary, sweaty, suffocating, awesome.
You get crazy bitches who just use ur head as an arm rest. When they jump you have to jump in sync with them so that you don't get smashed. When they move you have to move together, if not you just feel like you're being humped from the back. LOL.
Lucky i had a bar to hold on too...so that everytime someone pushes i just grab on for dear life, if not i'm pretty sure i would have toppled over, get stomped on and left to die without anyone knowing.

It was a pretty awesome concert. The opening band was crap but MGMT was cool. Too cool for school.
They were not hippie dressed that night, unlike their other pictures. :( maybe NZ is too normal for them.
But yeah, a little bit stuck up, but who can resist that pretty face and that unique voice.

The theme song for our trip was a christmas song. Must be the snow which made it felt so much like a white christmas.
The song was sleigh ride but through out the trip we only knew "Giddy up giddy up lets go......"
Then we made up our own lyrics "Lets play with the snow" "Lets go with the flow". The whole time we would only sing that sentence. Until the end of the trip did we find out the real lyrics. zzz...

ANYWAY, after Christchurch, Greymouth, Franz Josef. It was off to Wanaka.

In Christchurch where we stayed with a friend. Her mom made the best korean food ever!
Christchurch has the funnest museum ever!

Wanaka has the most beautiful view ever. Was supposed to skydive here but sucky weather that screwed me over, got my skydive canceled 3 times. O WELL. You wake up bright and early from the backpacker called purple cow. Look out and u see a freakin awesome view. Lake and mountains right smack in front of your face. Unfortunately, the one day we were there, it was SUPER overcast we could not take really nice photos. :(
So what did we end up doing? Walk the streets and went to 2 cafes.

Wanaka has this place called the Puzzle World. Its a place with illusions and mazes!

Look at me, i'm the giant finally!
Its a room whereby if you stand where i stand you look HUGE and if u stand the other end you look tiny.

We met this girl called Zara from Australia and she tagged along with us to the puzzle world. Thank God for her if not we would have been stuck in the maze till the next morning! We were in the maze until it was all dark. There was just us and this other group. We came out together though.

I hate mazes.

Wanaka is lovely, i'll be back and finally skydive. gr...
Next stop is QUEENSTOWN.

I have 2 more places to blog about, maybe some other time. Because i'm off to MGMT's concert! woot woot.

Life is so monotonous here that it felt great to get away.
All i hear and see from my flat are fire trucks, buses, random drunk people shouting and loads of cars.
The city of Auckland ain't the fanciest of places to be in New Zealand. Its crammed, filled with people and mostly Asian people.

So come winter holidays, 3 of us decided to have our own little getaway to get to know the true New Zealand.

SOUTH ISLAND TRIP for 11 days! woot woot.

We visited all together 5 towns, seen and did all kinds of things and even sat nearly all mode of transportation if not for the dumb weather.
I achieved most of the things i wanted to do except for one major highlight. :( Not done but money saved for future.

Many pictures were taken, many people were met up with. But highlight was the train ride across the from east to west coast.

We stayed in so many different backpackers and cooked many yummy meals.

I panned for gold and even got a tiny bit of gold as souvenir.

Had a brewery tour with free flow of beer. (Pour it yourself) Tried 7 different beers and after that you get to pour yourself one and many more if you can drink fast enough.

Took some crazy as photos. LOL.

FranZ Josef is nothing but one street with tons of tourist going there just to glacier hike. This place is one of the 3 glaciers that goes into a rainforest. Rainforests ain't that cool since we see it in malaysia ALL the time. blek. But i must admit having a glacier in it seems way cooler.

i smell freedom and i'm slowly feeling it.

exams finished on saturday and i still feel like i have to get up early to study. lol.

my friend shaved HER head to raise funds for leukemia foundation. she is officially my role model. so brave and so self-less. maybe i should do that one day. :) then i can own a blue wig. lol.

south island trip in 3 days. I'm so excited. doing everything i've been dreaming of doing. after this, its save to say i can tick off the items on my to-do-before-i-die list. lets hope the weather is good.

it has been really foggy the past few days. didn't see the sun for 2 or 3 days even.
but today, the sun is shining despite the rain.
i can see clearly now....the fog is gone. hAHA..
and i think i feel the same too.

after taking a long break from shopping, i have been indulging myself with online shopping.
and also selling stuff online, but thats not working out so well. lol.

i love green tea ice cream. yum! :)

its the time of the year.
all stressed and pms-ing.

yes, its exams!!

exams make me all depressed, moody and hungry.
i sit in front of my laptop all day long. i'm either watching shows or "studying"

To conquer my hunger and my constant craving for chocolate chewy brownies
in one week i have made 2 batches or brownies.
The first batch was more like a cake. sigh
now the second one, i thought after all the tweaking in the recipe, it would come out CHEWY the way i LIKE it.

BUT nOooooo its chewy around the edges...but its all moist inside.

Why can't it be dense and chewy. CHEWYYy... this is gonna haunt me.

Anybody have any idea on how to make chewy chewy chewy brownies...let me know! gah!

so, my craving is still not satisfied. i'm out of chocolate so no more brownie making for me.

Next up, something apple...or poppy seedy...?

my first dive was in a marine reserve.
only went down 6 meters deep for only 40 minutes.

but managed to see some pretty big fishes...and some big ass lobsters too.

Compare to fishing whereby you just randomly hook fishes up and then cook them, seeing them swimming with their eyes staring into you....is a WHOLE different experience.

I look and them and think " hey... i use to eat you for dinner" lol

Didn't get to take any pictures underwater..:( i need an underwater camera. lol.

Spot me in the ridiculous wetsuit that is a tad big.

Found a trampoline somewhere and jumped around like a little child for the first time!

How ironic we ended up having 'fush and chups'

final days

its once again last week of university.

man time is passing by so fast. I really want holidays to come...but when i realise it is..i want everything to slow down. Uni is ending ! AH...

Anyway, last week of uni also means exams are in exactly 12 days. i should be studying and doing past year papers but all i do is go on www.trademe.co.nz and www.1-day.co.nz. LOL
i keep online shopping...and searching for goodies to watch and buy. zz..

So far i already spent $100 over on 5 items. Zzz.. need to save money for my money sucking winter trip!!

But there was this item i couldn't win because a !@##$% kept having a bid war with me! gr...

I really really wanted this. It was my ultimate goal. but the lady bid with me til $40 over !! Its second hand with stains on it! I was so tempted to bid man...lucky my housemate stopped me. lol.
depressing!! i like the moon.

But its okay. Next time when i'm rich i'll just tailor make a jumper like that. MUahah...

mMm other than that, i'm still waiting for my goodies.

I also bought this bag of crap for $11. Its a mystery item which could contain items worth $11-$500.
You stand a chance to win ipods, pingpong tables, wii!! So a lot of us just bought it just for the heck of it.

a blardy t-shirt from the makers of the website itself...zzz.... (1-day) and it was size XL... at least the pattern is pretty interesting. haha.. i'm gonna cut it up and make it look cool. (yeah right)
Other friends go a shorts with a good brand but it was XXL!! another friend got car mats, and another got a really gangsta, i.e. ugly cap. LOL..

so much for winning something big.

Its okay..i topped up my phone today and am now in the running to win a nokia N85. fingers crossed! wahaha..

no matter what!! i am officially a open water diver!! i got my PADI card a week ago!

my first picture which i don't look like a total retard. lol.

i have not been diving though..weather has been bad lately. fingers crossed this weekend hopefully.

lets just say, i have been very busy for the past 2 weeks.
however, the war is over! and let the partying begin.

assignments are over, tests are all over.
just another 4 more weeks and exams will be here.
so i guess that means i have to plan for my winter holiday! woot woot.

but another influx of assignments will come all together in the last 2 weeks of uni. so i better be prepared. sigh.

i got myself a visa debit card! haha..for buying any emergency stuff online. i now do not need to ask for other people's credit card.

I am also officially an underwater mermaid up til 18meters deep:)

I am going to MGMT's concert on the 23rd of July...and i can't wait. its only me and my housemate and there is no allocated seating..so i sure hope my shortiness will be able to see some of their grooviness.
MGMT woohoo.

have been hearing a few people dissing their live performance. but what the heck. how bad can indie music sound live anyway? the grungier the hippier! The weirder the better! ain't it?

I am also contemplating to watch CATS the musical in July as well. Its only the New Zealand cast thats why i'm a bit hesitated. but they can't be that bad. lol.

This friday i might go sing karaoke. yay. miss redbox! blek.

Other than that, i woke up late for my 2pm class....so i missed it. lol.

Its graduation week, every commerce student is dressed up in their cloak lined with orange.
Graduation bears and flowers everywhere. Albert park is filled with joy and people camwhoring. Mmm.. that will be me in a year's time :)

Hope everybody is doing well. Its sure hard to keep in touch. but hope if i walk down the street you will still remember me! haha..
